The firm's 1H26 results hit a record high and beat expectations, mainly due to a sharp rise in prices of copper, molybdenum, and byproduct sulfuric acid.
Output of most minerals exceeded plan; prices of copper, molybdenum and byproduct sulfuric acid rose; earnings hit a record high. In 1H26, the firm's output of mineral copper, lead, and zinc reached 89,708t, 29,456t, and 63,906t (-2%, - 16%, and +2% YoY), and its mineral molybdenum output was 2,368t (-6% YoY), with the actual output as a percentage of plan for the four major minerals reaching 106%, 96%, 102%, and 109%. The failure to complete the plan for mineral lead was mainly due to lower-than-planned treatment volume and selected grade of raw ore. The firm's output of byproducts sulfuric acid and sulfur reached 417,400t and 26,400t. According to iFinD, domestic ASP of copper, zinc, molybdenum and sulfuric acid rose 31%, 5%, 28%, and 162% YoY in 1H26, and domestic ASP of lead fell 2%.
